Description
Hus is a fascinating logic game that tests even experienced tacticians. The players sit opposite each other and fill their 16 hollows with 2 stones each. The youngest player begins by emptying a hollow and placing a stone in each of the following hollows in a clockwise direction. If the last stone lands in a hollow in which there are already more stones, these are removed and the move is repeated until the last stone lands in an empty hollow.
A special case occurs when the last stone is placed in a hollow in the inner row, as both the stones from its own hollow and those from the opponent's neighbouring hollow can then be removed. If a player only has individual stones left in his hollows and thus no more moves can be made, he is the loser.
