Pontypandy has recently inaugurated a new sea rescue centre, which is a cause for celebration. A grand fireworks display has been planned to mark the occasion. However, as Mike goes to check everything, the fireworks suddenly go off on their own, causing panic. Meanwhile, Norman and Mandy find themselves in danger while out paddling. Firefighter Sam and his team quickly spring into action to prevent any further harm.
