The Pontiac GTO is believed to be Detroit's first true muscle car. In order to be one step ahead of the competition, the GTO from 1966 set a sales record with 96,946 cars sold. It combined great looks with unmatched performance. With its tri-power motor, it was able to cover a quarter-mile in 14.05 seconds.
